It’s likely you will spot MacKenzie taking full advantage of nearly every perk stunning Colorado has to offer: dominating 14ers and all other outdoor activities, sipping crisp micro-brews, corn-hole tournaments, porch sitting and so much more. A professional wanderer, MacKenzie has been bopping around the developing world for the past few years, focusing mostly on building global surgical capacity. After finishing her BA in International Affairs and Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2010, she decided to say yes to nearly all adventures that came her way and hasn’t stopped running, backpacking, eating and laughing her way around the world ever since. Now pursuing her MA in International Development and Global Health at the University of Denver, she is avidly determined to effect change and empower marginalized communities both domestically and abroad and wholeheartedly believes 2MW is an initiative bound to change the world in unimaginable ways.

Slogan for Life:
“Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground. Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it.”
Book that Moved Me:
